Understanding that more than 50% of recent automotive purchasers routinely respond to Cars.com, Autotrader and CarGurus surveys stating that “word of mouth” is a deciding factor in where they make their purchase, we decided to leverage one client’s strong reputation by encouraging their customers to share their actual stories with the broadcast TV market — essentially supercharging word of mouth through a series of testimonial and brand videos that told a multi-facted story directly from countless members of the community.
The result? Seven straight months of record sales followed the original airing of this campaign, with purchase likelihood +56% after seeing the ad (per a Magid study), and more than a 25% year over year increase in leads.
Later that year, Reeves was acquired by Morgan Automotive Group.
